Day 3 - Chilling Out in Daisy Hill

After a busy day yesterday at Australia Zoo, Chaggie decided to make today a day to chill out, assess their options for the rest of the week, and of course, enjoy the pool that we just have to make use of whilst here!

Staggie and Chino were up at around 6am! Both for very differing reasons, Chino had arranged to talk to his Dad on Skype, whilst Staggie woke up so he could keep an eye on the Newcastle score! It turned out to be a waste of time for Staggie, they lost. Oh well, still 5th in the league.. Toon Toon!

We finally rose from our bedrooms, (both of us have double beds by the way!) and decided, after breakfast, it was time to use the pool, and use it well. We had tried it out yesterday, however we only lasted 5 minutes as it was way to cold! This time we broke this record but only by about half an hour, after having a shower and lunch Chaggie took a walk up to Daisy Hill's conservation park where it holds a Koala Sanctuary.

Turned out to be quite a disappointment as there were no Koala's to see, well there was one but not quite what we expected, just look at the picture. What we did get out of this walk though was a good encounter of a 'Kookaburra'! Got right up close managing to take some good shots so not a wasted journey.

Once we arrived back, we had to jump back in the pool. We ended up in the pool for a good couple of hours! Don't worry, we were covered in water resistant sun cream! After using the pool, we then played... pool! Chino won this by 2 games to 1 over Staggie, basically it was all pure luck that either of us managed to win a game at all! Not particularly skillful pool players.

We then sat down to Dinner, which was much needed, well I'm sure it was for Chino. We have also planned our day to Brisbane tomorrow, so our next entry will be all about our day in the city!
