After another early start, Chaggie had to get ready, eat breakfast and be off for a 09:45 bus pick up.... which we ended up missing due to our late departure from Graeme and Lorraine's. We were too focused on our game of pool so yes, Chaggie once again ended up sprinting to the stop finding out the next one was for another half hour.
Before hand it was tipping it down, a huge downpour not looking good for the rest of the day but fortunately got better and r
emained consistent for the rest of our day in Brisbane. We managed to catch the 10:15 bus service to Elizabeth Street, right in the heart of Brisbane City arriving at 11:30ish. Our next plan was to find out whereabouts we were in relation to the river. After a good long walk we found Riverside where we could eat as well as catch the City Cat Boat that regularly goes up and down Brisbane River. For lunch we found a cheap restaurant with great views of the river and Brisbane's Highway Bridge, just minutes away from the City Cat's drop off and pick up point.
By 13:30 we caught the City Cat going under Brisbane Bridge, we went up and down the river taking us an hour to get back. Lots of good pictures were taken!
We treated ourselves to a beer looking out on the river afterwards, shame w
e didn't realise how expensive it was until we had to pay, $8 for a Budweiser!
At 15:00 we had a look round the shops, Staggie bought two Polo Shirts whilst Chino found another Wallet.
Overall much was seen and done today in Brisbane before catching the 16:55 bus back to Daisy Hill. This evening Graeme and Lorraine's Grandson, Michael, came over for dinner and to hang out with both Staggie and I. Graeme and Lorraine went out for the evening leaving the three of us with Pizza, Beer and Pool. Michael's Mum, Linda, came over to pick him up at 21:00.
Chaggie are now updating blogs and uploading photos whilst watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
