Day 29 - Greyhound to Canberra (Tue 7th Dec)

Woke up at 07:00 as a lot of packing was to be done, Chaggie got up, showered and had breakfast prior to this. This morning we had to say our farewell's to Kathryn, Jodi and Matt before they left to work. Has been a fantastic week with them so was a shame to leave.

We got the 10:31 bus to Padstow Station this morning after our last few games of pool at the Todd's house. The train left at 10:50ish getting us there an hour before the greyhound bus intended to leave. So in this time, a KFC bucket somehow appeared.

Jumping on the bus at 12:35, Chaggie were both tired enough to sleep most of the trip, as planned. Making 3 and a half hours seem nothing at all.

We arrived to a hot, sunny Canberra and caught a taxi at 16:00 to the 'Formule1' motel. Checked in and due to an electronic shutdown at the motel we had to sleep in a room that wasn't meant to be ours, the receptionist had no internet or anything due to builders cutting the motels electricity. Excellent news for Chaggie...A queen bed and a single, Chino was quick to call for the Queen Bed.

We chilled out this afternoon not having enough time to get us to the city and back. Chino went for a walk around the area whilst Staggie stayed in. We didn't have a key for our room also due to technical difficulties, how that works I don't know so one of us had to be in the room at all time. Chino had a good walk finding Parrots, Kangaroo warning signs and bus times to the city for tomorrow before coming back and changing to go out for a run (the first in a long time). Back 20 mins later (poor effort) we had a sandwich to eat before watching some good nightime tv.

Chaggie x
