Today was Cricket MAD! We woke up at around 10:00 and had breakfast, already laid out by Lyn and Warren. Today we planned for a chilled out day, yes I hear you guys asking yourselves "Phill and Chino having a chilled out day? Surely not". Well as surprising as it is, yes a chilled out day was in store, for the potential final day of the Ashes was on.
England had given Australia another beating with the batting in the final test, now all to do is bowl out the Aussies in their final innings. Staggie was watching the Ashes online this morning whilst Chino caught up with as much of the blog as possible. ("He didn't do a good job did he!") I hear you say, well there was a lot to catch up on, we've been pretty damn busy! So give me a break! Just kidding. But do.
Anyway after watching England bowl a few out, Chaggie were in the mood to play a bit themselves. Fortunately Lyn and Warren have the perfect garden for a game of 'Garden Cricket', excellent. This suited us perfectly, Phill has finally got Chino into Cricket! Just in time for Lunch too.
Chaggie had lunch outside today with Lyn and Warren, great weather with the sun out shining. Whilst Phill watched the Ashes this afternoon, Chino was in the mood for a film. Warren fortunately had 'The Pianist', a film Chino hasn't seen in years and was keen on watching after previously talking about the plot of the film earlier on in the day.
The film ended just in time this evening for Dinner, another superb meal cooked by Lyn...Pizza. Lovely jubbly, one of Chaggie's favourite meals! We had pudding in time to watch the final bit of the Ashes, didn't end up finishing today but surely will do tomorrow morning! We then ended up playing more Cricket till it got dark this evening, Staggie showing Chino how to be a good batsman such as himself (so he likes to think).
Afterwards we spent the evening showing Lyn and Warren our photos of the trip so far. Phill helped the Edmeades out with a computer trouble whilst Chino caught an early night at around 11:00.
A good day of Cricket and chilling out. Loved as always.
Chaggie x
